A vanity that looks like furniture

A "free-standing" vanity cabinet dresses up any bathroom. This one, made of Yellow Poplar (Tulip Tree), is constructed like a piece of furniture, then mounted to the wall. The base boards, when installed, will butt into the rear legs, giving the cabinet an integrated look. I applaud these clients for choosing Poplar, a wood that is often painted. Poplar's greenish color becomes brown with age and with some creativity, its contrasting heart/sap wood can be arranged interestingly.
