Repair and Refinishing Services
Many antiques are repairable for a reasonable cost. Most of us, at one time or another, have paid $10 for a rickety antique, falling in love with its old-time charm, only to find out that it doesn't really work very well. I offer perfect restorations for more valuable items, or "budget-fixes", like tightening joinery or refinishing. Bring that musty dresser or table out of the basement and I will breathe new life into it.

Pie Crust Table
A table who's finish was long neglected, having deep water rings and peeling varnish, was refurbished to a lustrious, warm and natural glow with the help of the all-mighty orange shellac. Shellac is an excellent water-vapor barrier, providing the perfect amber color match to this table's legs. Top-coated with poly-urethane, it will see many years of abuse.
Deacon's Bench
This quaint little bench has a storage space under the seat, which collapsed and needed structural attention. Portions of the bench were taken apart and re-assembled, adding some extra support where necessary. Once again, the bench can provide safe sitting and shoe-tying, while storing items below, for years to come!
